PFL Book Group In-Person

PFL book Group meets in person on the 2nd Thursday of each month for a reading discussion. We select a pair of books – one fiction, one nonfiction – to discuss each month. The titles for Fall are selected in September, the titles for Spring in January. New members are always welcome!

March 14: Fiction: The Overstory by Richard Powers, and Nonfiction: Treeline: the Last Forest and the Future of Life on Earth by Ben Rawlence. 

April 18*: Fiction: The Fraud by Zadie Smith, and Nonfiction: Master Slave Husband Wife: An Epic Journey from Slavery to Freedom by Ilyon Woo.     *note the calendar change from 2nd to 3rd Thursday

May 9: Fiction: The Birth House by Ami McKay, and Nonfiction: A Midwife’s Tale: The Life of Martha Ballard Based on her Diary, 1785-1812 by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich . 

June 13: Fiction: The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride and Nonfiction:  Lest Innocent Blood Be Shed: The Story of the Village of Le Chambon and How Goodness Happened There by Phillip Halli.
